Blog Post assesment

My favorite restaurant is Chipotle. I go to the one on 400 State Route 17.  They serve Mexican foods, such as burritos and tacos and let you choose your own toppings from their topping bar. Personally my favorite dish is a chicken burrito. The toppings are all fresh and very flavorful.

Chipotle was made by a man named Steve. He opened his first restaurant in Denver, Colorado. He first opened it because he wanted to make a place for people to eat fresh quality food affordability and fast. Quickly, more and more people ate his food. As time went on his restaurant grew.

This is my favorite restaurant because they are fast with their service, it it not too expensive and all of they're meat is 100% natural with no added hormones. Also they have a variety of toppings to put on your food and all of them are fresh and pesticide free. If it closed down I would go to my second favorite Mexican place, Moe's. I like this place because they have really good food too.

                  I selected the sites i subscribed to because they are things that  i like to read about; they interest me.

1. Was it easy to find feeds and to subscribe to them?

                 For the most part finding the RSS feed links was easy and subscribing to them was even easier.

1. Which sites were your favorites?

                 My favorite sites to subscribe to subscribe to were the hobbies, cheerleading more specifically.

1. What else can you use RSS feeds for?

                You could use them to read a lot of articles that you care about in one place instead of looking through a whole website to find the articles that interest you.

1. How likely are you to continue to use RSS feeds in the future?
2.      I most likely will not be using RSS in the future.

SMART WATCH

The smart watch trend is spreading.  Samsung, Apple and now China is making one and selling it for just $7. The brand is called Fastfox.  They launched in Australia and sold 100 watches all for $7. The sale is ending December 24th. The watch has all of the same features of a standard smart watch. It is more simple though than Samsung's or Apple's.

       Would add a sign language class to our curriculum. In this class we would learn the different types of sing language such as ASL or finger spelling. We would meet during the day as a language class. The kids would only have one on one test with the teacher signing what is asked.    
        In order to remember the teacher could give worksheets and make the class sign words and phrases off of the worksheet based off of what the class is learning. For projects they could learn how to sign song of poems in front of the class.

a company in California is trying to make a machine that can create human tissue. it is living tissue and works in the body. it can be costomized to any blood type you need

 it is replicates the patterns and structures of any organ in the body. it should be running by in all hospitals across the globe as of 2020

Write before your eyes! Amazing 3D printing PEN 'draws' plastic objects in thin air

 

The device is about the same size and weight as a regular ballpoint pen

Then by feeding a strip of plastic into the back it can draw in the air

The plastic is melted inside the pen and then pushed out the nib

The device will go on sale in September 2014 for £85 ($139.95)

The pen is 6.45in long, 0.55in in diameter and weighs 34.9 grams.

It is made of aluminium and comes in black or grey.

Inside the pen it heats plastic to 300°F which is then pushed out through the nib as a hot liquid at the touch of a button.

When the liquid is exposed to air it solidifies into shapes.

Web 2.0: Wiki Research

1.  In history a wiki can be used to help to make study guides. During midterm and final review Ms. Garvin uses a wiki for us to put all the information on one document in order to help us study.

2.  Some of the benefits of using a wiki during class are improved grade, better study tactics and a better understanding of things learned in class.

3.  Creating a class wiki for this class can help us better remember short cuts and other things that we learned throughout the course. Creating the wiki we could put directions on stuff like hyperlinks and inserting pictures.

4.  My experience in using wikis is not very much. I used it last year a few times as said in the first question but it is not very extensive.

My Long Weekend.

My long weekend was amazing. There where a few activities that I really enjoyed. I went to the movies to see Gone Girl and Ouija. I went to see my best friends niece and I went to a birthday party. My favorite activity though was going to dinner at a Turkish restaurant.  I love trying new things and I have never had Turkish food so trying that was really fun. Turkish food is so good, I would love to go back.

In southeast Asia drones are fighting against infection for the population. The drones are fighting against malaria as well as other diseases. They are hoping that that tracking the parasite they will be able to end the disease.

This prosthetic arm was designed after one man named Igor lost his arm after an accident.

This fake arm can connect to nerves and making it able to feel. With this arm the feeling of water dripping down your arm of the warmth of someones touch is able to be felt again. it makes the arm feel more natural.

A new underwater robot has been made. This robot is able to snif out drugs being smuggled by sea. Not only is it sniffing out during buy other illegal contraband such as weapons being smuggled on ships. This robot was made in Massachusetts and is slightly smaller than a football and uses sound waved to find the contraband.

An editorial is a newspaper article written by an editor that gives an opinion on a issue.

Teachers have many different opinions on wikipedia for the most part teachers do not like wikipedia. They feel that  the info on the page is not true and will help us fail. They believe that is more harmful than helpful.

Many teachers have different opinions no wikipedia. For the most part my teachers tell us not to use the info on wikipedia but to scroll to the end follow the links that are cited. These links are where the facts that where in the page are found. When reading these cited pages we need to be careful because anyone could change the links which would not make the link to something that is not accurate. 

After reading the article, my thoughts on wikipedia are not changed. I agree with my teachers because they are right. Anyone can edit the page and it can hurt students grades. Being that any person can edit it, it could not have true facts.

Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5

What: New phone Debate

Samsung is a better phone over all with a larger display and more upgrades features versus its generation before. The Galaxy is dust resistant as well as water proof while the iphone is not. However the new Iphone is made of an all aluminum outer body that creates less friction when holding the phones. Also the saphire glass camera protector is a sure fire way to ensure the protection of the camera.

  Math isn't the most entertaining class. Geometry more specifically. For this class I have Mr. Santangelo as a teacher. He is a good teacher but he can be a bit monotonous. I end to get annoyed when people repeat themselves very often and he tends to do this. I understand that he's doing it for the sake of teaching but it can get annoying.
  At the start of this class I expected to learn more about shapes. However thus far I have only learned nothing more than a review of last year. There is nothing being taught about shapes. The only technological element of this class is the online text book. Besides that we didnt even get chrome books.
  Santangelos grading policy is much like every other teachers. His tests are 40% his projects are 40%. Homework and quizzes are both 10%. I like his grading policy because the grades that are hard and you try hard on count as more and the homework which you get a lot of do not way as heavily on your final grades. Santangelos class is a lot of fun over all.
